Arm lift is performed to remove excess skin and fatty tissue. Combined with liposuction, it helps improve the shape of the arms and tightens the skin of the area.
The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and takes approximately 2 hours. Post surgery there is swelling and bruising of the treatment area and they persist up to 2 weeks. The patient is instructed to wear a compression garment for 2 months, which helps minimise the swelling and supports adequate shaping of the arms.
The patient must be vaccinated against hepatitis B virus.
